ARY Film Award For Best Director
The ARY Film Award for Best Director (officially known as the ARY Film Award for Best Directing) is an award presented annually by the ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel. It is given in honor of a film director who has exhibited outstanding directing while working in the film industry. The 1st ARY Film Awards were held in 2014 and Bilal Lashari was given this award for his direction for '' Waar''. Currently, nominees are determined by single transferable vote within the directors branch of ARY Digital Network while winners are selected by a public voting. In order to maintain the balance and authenticity, Best Director - Jury is also presented at ceremony, where winners are only revealed during the ceremony based on Jury votings. ARY Digital Network ( ur, ) is a subsidiary of the ARY Group. The ARY group of companies is a Dubai-based holding company founded by a Pakistani businessman, Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY). The network has a video on demand streaming service called ARY ZAP. History ARY Digital, formerly known as the Pakistani Channel, was launched in the United Kingdom in December 2000 to cater to the growing demands of South Asian entertainment in the region.
