Mayyanad is a village in Kollam district in the state of Kerala, India. Mayyanad is located in the south western suburbs of Kollam district, Kollam city about south of the city centre and north of Paravur Town. Mayyanad can be reached by frequent buses from Kollam city and Kottiyam town and by local train from Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram. The bridge connecting Mayyand and Paravur was completed in 2012, making travel to Kollam city easier. Kollam (), also known by its former name Quilon , is an ancient seaport and city on the Malabar Coast of India bordering the Laccadive Sea, which is a part of the Arabian Sea. Paravur Kayal
Paravur Kayal is a lake in Paravur, Kollam district, Kerala, India.
