Mayu Ishikawa
is a Japanese professional volleyball player from Okazaki City, Aichi, Prefecture. She's a member of the Japan Women's National Volleyball Team, as one of its outside hitters. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's volleyball. She currently plays for the club Toray Arrows. She used to be the captain of Japan U-18 and U-20 national volleyball team. Personal life Ishikawa has one older sister and one older brother, Yūki Ishikawa, who is a member of Japan men's national volleyball team. She was motivated by her siblings to start playing volleyball and her brother would always give good advice about spiking when she was in high school. United States Women's National Volleyball Team
The United States women's national volleyball team participates in international volleyball competitions and friendly games, and is governed by USA Volleyball. The current head coach is three-time Olympic gold medalist and retired dominant beach volleyball professional Karch Kiraly. 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup
The 2019 FIVB Women's World Cup was the 13th edition of the event, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held from 14 to 29 September 2019 in Japan. This was the first time that the FIVB did not distribute Olympics places since 1991 due to Japan hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics, but points for the FIVB World Rankings were given. Kumi Nakada
is a former professional volleyball player and former coach of Hisamitsu Springs. She led Japan to a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics while still in high school and, despite serious and chronic knee injuries, remained one of the world's top setters until her retirement from the sport in 1993. Unusually for a Japanese athlete, Nakada was (and still is) remembered by opponents and teammates alike for her volatile temper, fiery competitiveness, and outspoken manner both on and off the court. Personal life After brief stints as a fashion model and motivational speaker, Nakada currently provides colour commentary and makes guest appearances in a wide range of sports and variety media in Japan. is a women's volleyball team based in Kobe city, Hyogo and Tosu city, Saga, Japan. It plays in V.League 1. The club was founded in 1948. In July 2020 the team announced an official name change from "Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Springs" to "Hisamitsu Springs" and unveiled a new team mascot and logo. Japan Men's National Volleyball Team
The Japan men's national volleyball team ( ja, 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association. Their nickname is "''RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)''", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese. Japan won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games, followed by silver at Mexico 1968 and a gold at Munich 1972. The years after this have been less successful.
