Mayor Of Baguio
The mayor of Baguio ( fil, Punong Lungsod ng Baguio) is the chief executive of the government of Baguio, a highly urbanized city territorially located in Benguet and the regional center of the Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines. The mayor leads the city's departments in executing ordinances and delivering public services and holds office at the Baguio City Hall. The mayor, like all local government executives, has a term of office of three years, but has a maximum electoral tenure of three consecutive terms. He is assisted by the City Vice Mayor. Benjamin Magalong
Benjamin "Benjie" Bañez Magalong (born December 15, 1960) is a Filipino politician and retired police officer serving as the mayor of Baguio since 2019. Before entering politics, he served in the Philippine Constabulary and Philippine National Police (PNP) for 38 years. He was the chief of the Cordillera regional police office, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), and the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM). He retired with the rank of Police Deputy Director General as the PNP's Deputy Chief for Operations. Born and raised in Baguio, Magalong graduated from the Philippine Military Academy in 1982. The Mamasapano clash was a shootout that took place during a police operation by the Special Action Force (SAF) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on January 25, 2015, in Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, then-undivided Maguindanao (which is now Maguindanao del Sur). The People's Reform Party ( abbrev. PRP) is a political party in the Philippines. Founded on April 12, 1991, as the political party of former Agrarian Reform Secretary Miriam Defensor Santiago for her bid as president in the 1992 Presidential Elections. Mauricio Domogan
Mauricio "Morris" Gamsao Domogan (born October 10, 1946) is a Filipino lawyer and politician and is the longest serving mayor of the city of Baguio. A member of the Lakas Kampi CMD party, Domogan served three terms as mayor of Baguio, initially as acting mayor from July to October 1992, and officially as the new mayor in October 1992 after succeeding the mayoralty post from Ramon Labo after he was disqualified due to his citizenship status, until 2001, and again from 2010 to 2019. He has also been elected to three terms as a Member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, representing the Lone District of Baguio. The United Nationalist Democratic Organization (UNIDO) was the main political multi-party electoral alliance of the traditional political opposition during the turbulent last years of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos in the mid-1980s.
