Mayagüez Mall
Mayagüez Mall is a shopping mall located in the municipalities of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. It is the third largest shopping center in Puerto Rico with a total of of retail space, and it is the main shopping center in western Puerto Rico. Its main stores include Sears, JCPenney, Shoe Carnival, Old Navy, Marshalls, Summit Trampoline Park and Office Max. There is also a heliport within the mall property. The mall is made up of three concourses which connect at a central atrium. History Starting development in 1970 with a $6.5 million dollar permanent mortgage put in place. The mall opened in 1972 with 60 stores, parking for 2,000 cars, and two of its later three concourses open. During that time, its main tenants were F. W. Woolworth Company, Woolworth, Walgreens and Sears. Mayagüez, Puerto Rico
Mayagüez (, ) is a city and the eighth-largest municipality in Puerto Rico. It was founded as Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria de Mayagüez, and is also known as ''La Sultana del Oeste'' (The Sultaness of the West), ''Ciudad de las Aguas Puras'' (City of Pure Waters), or ''Ciudad del Mangó'' (Mango City). Romano's Macaroni Grill
Romano's Macaroni Grill is a casual dining restaurant chain specializing in Italian-American cuisine. The company claims 41 locations in the U.S. and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. History Romano's first restaurant was founded by restaurateur Philip J. Romano in Leon Springs, Texas (now a district of San Antonio), on April 19, 1988. The location would later be occupied by Burkle's The Grill at Leon Springs, which closed in May of 2021 after a fire. Brinker International, Inc. bought the franchise rights to the company on November 22, 1989. Brinker announced on August 8, 2007, that it would begin exploring a buyer for the 230 company-owned stores. CineVista Theatres was a movie theatre chain in Puerto Rico founded in 1997. As CineVista continued to close all of the theaters, it was bankrupt. After CineVista was bankrupt, Caribbean Cinemas is the only theatre chain in Puerto Rico. History CineVista founded in 1997 and in 1998, CineVista started opening the Mayaguez Mall and the Mayaguez Town Center locations. In 1999, it grew the company by opening few locations, the Palma Real location, the Plaza Las Americas location and the Señorial Mall location as well as the Hatillo location which is located at Plaza del Norte. In 2000, it opened the Plaza Carolina location as well as the Naranjito location, which was only opened for a year and in 2001, it was closed.
