"Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex" is a song recorded by German Eurodance act E-Rotic, released in June 1994 as the group's debut and lead single from their first album, '' Sex Affairs'' (1995). Written and composed by David Brandes, John O'Flynn and Felix Gauder, the song hit success in Germany where it peaked at number seven. In the Netherlands, it reached number four while in Austria, it reached number 12. It also peaked at number 14 in Switzerland and number 20 in France. The song is the group's highest charting single in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number 45 on the UK Singles Chart in June 1995. E-Rotic
E-Rotic are a Eurodance duo act formed in 1994 by German record producer David Brandes. The act is best known in Europe for the hits "Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex" and "Fred Come to Bed". E-Rotic originally consisted of German born singer Lyane Leigh (real name Liane Hegemann) and American rapper Richard Allen Smith (a.k.a. Raz-Ma-Taz). The act is known for its use of sexual references in their songs and music videos. VIVA (German TV Channel)
VIVA (abbreviation for: translating to "Video Exploitation Facility") was a German free-to-air music television channel, first broadcast on 1 December 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the first German-language music TV channel, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists mostly from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. After years of competition for audience share, MTV Networks Europe eventually acquired VIVA on 14 January 2005 after it had outrun its own efforts for better ratings. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
