Mauro Maur, the Pavarotti of the trumpet, OMRI (born 8 August 1958) is an Italian trumpeter and composer who represents the Italian musician with a pure and unique style. After performing as a soloist at the Carnegie Hall at the age of 20 and traveling around the world playing in the largest concert halls for decades, he contributes with his art as a trumpet virtuoso to the knowledge of the Italian musical tradition to the highest level in the world alongside musicians such as Placido Domingo, Uto Ughi, Riccardo Muti, Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa, Pierre Boulez, but also Tony Scott, Oscar Valdambrini, Nini Rosso, Paquito D'Rivera, Gloria Gaynor. Riccardo Muti, (; born 28 July 1941) is an Italian conductor. He currently holds two music directorships, at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and at the Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini. Gloria Gaynor ( née Fowles; born September 7, 1943) is an American singer, best known for the disco era hits "I Will Survive" (1978), " Let Me Know (I Have a Right)" (1979), " I Am What I Am" (1983), and her version of "Never Can Say Goodbye" (1974). Raffaele Celeste "Nini" Rosso (19 September 1926 – 5 October 1994) was an Italian jazz trumpeter and composer. Biography Born in San Michele Mondovì, Italy, Rosso's parents had attempted to send him to university, but at 19 he chose the trumpet over academia, and left home. He was a partisan during the Liberation of Nazist and Fascist World War II and operated in Valle Maira, with Giorgio Bocca, and Detto Dalmastro, partisan commander of anti-fascist brigade Giustizia e Libertà to Partito d'Azione of north Italy. After his employment in a nightclub was terminated by the police, he returned home, but soon after departed again to relaunch his career.
