Mattia Maggio
Mattia Maggio (born 22 February 1994) is a German-Italian former professional footballer who plays as a forward for TuS Dassendorf. Early life The parents of Mattia Maggio come from the Salento in Apulia, and had once emigrated from their homeland and settled in Swabia in Germany. Maggio was born in Nürtingen; in the age of eight years he moved with his family to Vaihingen an der Enz. As he grew up bilingual, he speaks German and Italian fluently. Mattia Maggio discovered as a child his passion for football. This sport he practiced with his friends on the street and in the e-youth, he joined the ''VfB Vaihingen''. At the age of ten years, he applied for a trial with VfB Stuttgart and in a three-month selection process, he beat out over 200 other competitors. Nürtingen () is a town on the river Neckar in the district of Esslingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. Vaihingen An Der Enz
Vaihingen an der Enz is a town located between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, in southern Germany, on the western periphery of the Stuttgart Region. Vaihingen is situated on the river Enz, and has a population of around 30,000. The former district-capital is now part of the district of Ludwigsburg in the ''Land'' (state) of Baden-Württemberg. It is 25 km northwest of Stuttgart, and 15 km west of Ludwigsburg. Not to be confused with Vaihingen, a district of Stuttgart. Location Vaihingen lies at an altitude of 200 to 450 metres at the end of the Strohgäus, on the western edge of the Neckarbecken in a valley widening of the Enz. ''Focus'' (styled as ''FOCUS'') is a German-language news magazine published by Hubert Burda Media. Established in 1993 as an alternative to the '' Der Spiegel'' weekly news magazine, since 2015 the editorial staff has been headquartered in Germany's capital of Berlin. Splinter
A splinter (also known as a sliver) is a fragment of a larger object, or a foreign body that penetrates or is purposely injected into a body. The foreign body must be lodged inside tissue to be considered a splinter. Splinters may cause initial pain through ripping of flesh and muscle, or infection through bacteria on the foreign object. Steffen Freund
Steffen Freund (born 19 January 1970) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder in both the German and English top flights. He was capped 21 times for his country and played a significant part in Germany's UEFA Euro 1996 winning campaign. He is currently working for Tottenham Hotspur. Club career Freund started his career at Stahl Brandenburg, coming through their youth system. He has said that the Stasi made an unsuccessful attempt to recruit him as an informer during his time at the club. In 1991, he was transferred to FC Schalke 04 and he established himself as an important midfield player. The SV Eichede is a German association football club from the Eichede suburb of Steinburg, Schleswig-Holstein. The club's greatest success has been to earn promotion to the tier four Regionalliga Nord in 2013 and again in 2016.
