Matthias Keller (musician)
Matthias Keller (born 1956 in Bremen) is a German composer, music critic, organist, conductor, and radio producer. For many years he has been a juror for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik. He has been commissioned to compose or arrange works for the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Capella Istropolitana, the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, and the Polish Chamber Philharmonic among others. He notably composed the music for the closing ceremonies of the 2006 FIFA World Cup which was performed simultaneously by the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra and the Bavarian Radio Orchestra with conductors Christian Thielemann, Zubin Mehta, and Mariss Jansons, and soloists Diana Damrau, Plácido Domingo and Lang Lang. Bremen
Bremen ( Low German also: ''Breem'' or ''Bräm''), officially the City Municipality of Bremen (german: Stadtgemeinde Bremen, ), is the capital of the German state Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (''Freie Hansestadt Bremen''), a two-city-state consisting of the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven. Christian Thielemann
Christian Thielemann (born 1 April 1959) is a German conductor. He is currently chief conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden. He was artistic director of the Salzburg Easter Festival from 2013 to 2022, and a regular conductor at the Bayreuth Festival. He also makes regular guest appearances with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2020, Thielemann was appointed honorary professor at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. The ''Komponisten der Gegenwart'' (KDG) is a music encyclopedia in German language about composers of the 20th and 21st century. It is a looseleaf service with information on currently about 900 composers. Editors Hanns-Werner Heister and Walter-Wolfgang Sparrer founded the encyclopaedia ''Komponisten der Gegenwart (KDG)'' in 1992 and since then publish it in the publishing house . The loose-leaf work now comprises some 12,250 pages in 10 folders (63rd supplement, January 2018) and is updated and supplemented two to three times a year. It is available online for a fee.
