Matthew Greenfield
Matthew Greenfield is the president of Searchlight Pictures, which has produced five Best Picture winners, including Slumdog Millionaire, Birdman, 12 Years a Slave, The Shape of Water, and Nomadland. Greenfield and fellow Searchlight president David Greenbaum started Searchlight Television in 2018. He joined Searchlight after his tenure as Associate Director of the Feature Film Program at the Sundance Institute. Prior to his work at Sundance, Greenfield worked as an independent producer, producing Star Maps (film), Chuck & Buck, and The Good Girl, all directed by Miguel Arteta, and the latter two written by Mike White (filmmaker). As the producer of Chuck & Buck, Greenfield won the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award. He's also the producer of The Motel (film), written and directed by Michael Kang (director). Jeanine Basinger (born 3 February 1936, in Ravenden, AR), a film historian, retired in 2020 as the Corwin-Fuller Professor of Film Studies and Founder and Curator of The Cinema Archives at Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut. Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences is a private, K–12, independent, college preparatory school in Santa Monica, California, United States. The school is a former member of the G20 Schools Group. The Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award is presented to the creative team of a film budgeted at less than $500,000 by the Film Independent, a non-profit organization dedicated to independent film and independent filmmakers.
