Matthew "Ted" Edwards is a UK-born singer and songwriter and previously led the San Francisco-based pop group called The Music Lovers. Early life Originally from Small Heath, Birmingham, England, Edwards managed to go to university to study English Literature. In 1991, Edwards left his hometown and relocated to San Francisco, California, where he worked as a compere in the city's premier 'variety' evening at The Mad Dog. Music career The Hairdressers Edwards' rock band The Hairdressers released the album 'Our Lives in Showbusiness' in 1999. The Music Lovers While working as an MC, Edwards met bassist Jon Brooder and added Paul Comaskey on drums, completing the first lineup of the band. In 2003, Edwards formed The Music Lovers for whom he was the singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Matthew (Matt) Edwards (born 4 June 1975) is an English electronic music producer and DJ based in Berlin, Germany. He is best known for his work in house and techno that he produces under his Radio Slave moniker. He has also released under a variety of different aliases including Cabin Fever, Canvas, DJ Maxxi, The Machine, REKID, Seadevils and Quiet Village. He is also co-founder of London-based record label Rekids, which he formed in 2006 with James Masters. Rekids is also mother label to the REK'D and Pyramids of Mars imprints. Career Edwards' career began as a DJ in London and Aberystwyth, where he picked up a residency at the Milk Bar in 1992 and Aberystwyth football club. He would then go on to become resident at the legendary Ministry of Sound. Radio Slave began in 2000 as a duo remixing project with Serge Santiago. Matt Edwards (born 17 November 1987 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand player of pool. Edwards is from Kaiapoi, North Canterbury. He started playing Pool at the age of 12. He is considered New Zealand’s greatest ever pool player, being a record twenty times New Zealand pool champion. In 2019 he became the first ever New Zealander to be invited to play in the 24 player invitational World Pool Masters held in Gibraltar where he made it to the quarter-finals. Career Edwards made his World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) debut in 2012 with the 2012 WPA World Nine-ball Championship the first New Zealander to qualify in the World Championship. Matthew Philip Edwards (born 1 August 1991) is an English born, Scottish footballer, who is currently unattached. He has played for Leeds United and Rochdale as a goalkeeper. Career Leeds United Born in Liverpool, England, Edwards started his career at Manchester United but never received a professional contract. He then continued his career playing in the youth teams at Leeds United. He signed his first professional contract for Leeds in 2008 aged 17.
