Matthew Adams (born 26 September 1988) is an Australian professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Buddy Matthews as a member of the stable House of Black. He is best known for his time with WWE where he performed under the ring names Buddy Murphy and Murphy. Prior to joining WWE, Adams wrestled primarily in his native Australia under the ring name Matt Silva, appearing with promotions such as Professional Championship Wrestling (PCW) and Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW). In 2013, he relocated to the United States to work for WWE, starting out in its developmental territory NXT. During his time in NXT, he formed a tag team with Wesley Blake that won the NXT Tag Team Championship on one occasion, making him the first Australian national to win a championship in WWE. Matthew Algernon Adams (9 August 1836 – 29 April 1913) was a British medical doctor. He was the President of the Society of Public Analysts in 1889 and 1890, and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemistry. Biography Adams was born in London and studied medicine at Guy's Hospital, hearing chemistry lectures by William Odling. After having been house-surgeon to the Public Dispensary in Leeds he settled, soon after 1860, as a medical practitioner in Maidstone. He specialised in eye surgery, in which he excelled and earned an almost international repute. Hard-working and well-read, he had wide scientific interests, with a predilection for chemistry. In 1874, while the Sale of Food and Drugs Bill was under parliamentary discussion, Adams worked for some time in the laboratory of James Alfred Wanklyn, and was in the same year appointed Public Analyst for the county of Kent. Nicknamed "Big City" for his imposing size and ability to regularly hit long home runs, the St. Louis Cardinals selected Adams in the 23rd round of the 2009 MLB draft from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Matthew Adams (born December 12, 1995) is an American football linebacker for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Houston. College career Adams played four seasons for Houston. He led the Cougars with 82 tackles in 2016 and finished second with 88 in 2017. In his college career, he posted 259 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.
