Matteo Eydallin (born 6 November 1985) is an Italian ski mountaineer. Eydallin was born in Turin and lives in Sauze d'Oulx. In 2003, when he started ski mountaineering, he competed first in the ''Trofeo Bozzetti'' event and became a member of the national selection. 2010 World Championship Of Ski Mountaineering
The 2010 World Championship of Ski Mountaineering ( ca, Campionats del Món d’Esquí de Muntanya 2010) was the first World Championship of Ski Mountaineering sanctioned by the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF), successor organization of the International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC). The competition was held in the skiing area of Gran Valira in the Pyrenees, Andorra, from March 1 to March 6, 2010. Pierra Menta
The Pierra Menta has been an annual competition of ski mountaineering at Arêches-Beaufort in the region of Beaufort, Savoie south-eastern France since 1986. The Pierra Menta is one of the three best known races of the Alps (''les grandes trois de ski de montagne'') besides the Patrouille des Glaciers The Patrouille des Glaciers (PDG) is a ski mountaineering race organised every two years by the Swiss Armed Forces, in which military and civilian teams compete. It takes place once every two years at the end of April, in the south part of the ca ... and the Trofeo Mezzalama. Pierra Menta is a stage of La Grande Course that includes the most important ski mountaineering competitions of the season. The athletes have to travel a cumulative altitude difference of around 10 000 meters, both ascending and skiing down. The race track is to be completed in teams of two and it varies year by year.
