He has played bass guitar in the punk rock group SNFU and the industrial rock band Jakalope. Career Warhurst began his career with the alternative rock band OCEAN3, who released several marginal releases and remained active for over a decade. In 2000, they began touring and sharing a practice space with fellow Vancouver, British Columbia band SNFU. In June 2001, Warhurst joined SNFU for a single gig, replacing long-time bassist Rob Johnson, but the band entered a hiatus shortly thereafter following the departure of drummer Chris Thompson. Sechelt, British Columbia
Sechelt (, Shishalh language chat'lich) is a district municipality located on the lower Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. Approximately 50 km northwest of Vancouver, it is accessible from mainland British Columbia by a 40-minute ferry trip between Horseshoe Bay and Langdale, and a 25-minute drive from Langdale along Highway 101, also known as the Sunshine Coast Highway. Marc Belke
Marc Belke (born February 1, 1965 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian musician and former radio personality. He played guitar in the punk and alternative rock bands SNFU and The Wheat Chiefs, and sang lead vocals in the latter. He was later an on-air personality with Rogers based in Victoria, British Columbia. Musical career The youngest of five boys, Belke played in basement bands with his twin brother Brent as a teenager. Jakalope is a Canadian Indie pop/rock group, formed in 2003 and named for the mythical creature of the jackalope, and started by noted Canadian industrial musician and producer Dave "Rave" Ogilvie, most famous for his studio work with such acts as Skinny Puppy, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, and Marilyn Manson. The band gained much popularity after playing the opening theme song to seasons 4–7 of the TV series '' Degrassi: The Next Generation''. ''In the Meantime and In Between Time'' is the seventh studio album by Canadian hardcore punk band SNFU, released in 2004. The record was the band's first full-length studio album since ''FYULABA'' in 1996, and would be the last to feature founding guitarist Marc Belke. The band released the album on Belke's own Rake Records imprint. Background and recording In 1998, SNFU suffered several blows when their contract with Epitaph Records expired and founding guitarist Brent Belke and longtime drummer Dave Rees both quit. Nevertheless, they began performing as a four-piece with new drummer Sean Stubbs and slowly amassed new material for a seventh studio album. Their first demo session for the new album came in early 1999 at Studio X in Vancouver, with Stubbs and bassist Rob Johnson completing the group alongside founding members Marc Belke and singer Ken Chinn. ''It Dreams'' is the debut album by Jakalope, released on October 26, 2004. The music videos made for the album are known for the clone and hybrid theme connected to the band. Videos featuring Dave Ogilvie as a Dr. Evar and Katie B presented a sort of story for fans to follow, bolstered by a site contest which allowed fans insight into the so-called 'Jakalope world', and hinted at the back story of Dr. Evar and Katie's characters. A large part of the plot was left to the interpretation of fans in the end, especially concerning the Katie B character. As a CD, this album is only available as an import from Canada and Japan. Ken Chinn
Kendall Steven Chinn (October 19, 1962 – July 16, 2020), known under the stage name Mr. Chi Pig, was a Canadian punk rock vocalist and artist born in Edmonton and long residing in Vancouver. He fronted the hardcore punk band SNFU from 1981 until their hiatus in 2018. Other, short-lived groups that he led included The Wongs, Little Joe, and Slaveco. Chinn was an energetic vocalist, prolific artist, and sardonic lyricist. He was also an early advocate for queer identity in punk rock.
