Matt Lalli (born March 27, 1986) is an American professional lacrosse player for the San Francisco Dragons of Major League Lacrosse. Lalli attended West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in Plainsboro Township, New Jersey, where he lettered in lacrosse, hockey, football and soccer. San Francisco Dragons
The San Francisco Dragons were a professional field lacrosse team based in San Francisco and San Jose, California. From 2006–2008, they played in Major League Lacrosse and they ceased operations before the 2009 season due to the economic situation in the United States. Franchise history The San Francisco Dragons were awarded an MLL franchise in July 2005. The original owners were Michael Levitt, Chris Bulger, and Charley Biggs. The inaugural season commenced on May 28, 2006, against the Denver Outlaws. They lost the game 15–11, but went on to beat the Outlaws two times later in the season. Major League Lacrosse
Major League Lacrosse (MLL) was a men's field lacrosse league in the United States. The league's inaugural season was in 2001. Teams played anywhere from ten to 16 games in a summertime regular season. This was followed by a four-team playoff for the championship trophy, the Steinfeld Trophy, named after founder Jake Steinfeld. League attendance peaked at 6,417 in 2011 and the 2019 average was 4,587. The Chesapeake Bayhawks and New York Lizards (originally the Baltimore Bayhawks and Long Island Lizards) were MLL members throughout its existence and competed in the first three championship games, with the Lizards winning two. Plainsboro Township is a township in Middlesex County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Denver Outlaws
The Denver Outlaws were a Major League Lacrosse professional men's field lacrosse team based in Denver, Colorado, United States. They began playing in the MLL in 2006 as an expansion team. Since joining the league, the Outlaws have played in the championship game a league-record ten times. They have only missed the playoffs once in franchise history and have never had a losing season. The Outlaws regularly post the highest attendance in the league.
