Matt Hoyt (October 13, 1975 – August 14, 2021) was an American independent director, voice actor, writer, and musician, from San Diego, California. Hoyt was best known for his music videos for the bands Pinback, The Blackheart Procession, Goblin Cock, & Paradise Boys. Hoyt was the founder of WormwoodFilms.com. Hoyt also co-owned the San Diego restaurant and bar Starlite with local music scene impresario Tim Mays and musician Steve Poltz. Hoyt is a frequent collaborator with artist Jason Sherry. Modest Mouse
Modest Mouse is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington, and currently based in Portland, Oregon. The founding members are lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. Strongly influenced by Pavement, Pixies, XTC, and Talking Heads, they rehearsed, rearranged, and recorded demos for almost two years before finally signing with small-town indie label K Records and releasing numerous singles. The Black Heart Procession (occasionally spelled The Blackheart Procession) is an American indie rock band from San Diego, California. Biography Early years The band was formed in 1997 by Pall Jenkins (Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects, Palllap, Ugly Casanova and Three Mile Pilot) and Tobias Nathaniel ( Three Mile Pilot). The group is often augmented by the contributions of Matt Resovich, Mario Rubalcaba, Jason Crane, Joe Plummer, Dmitri Dziensuwski, Jimmy LaValle and Matthew Parker. Mister Heavenly is an indie rock supergroup consisting of Ryan Kattner, Honus Honus of Man Man, Nicholas Thorburn of Islands (band), Islands and The Unicorns, and Joe Plummer of Modest Mouse and The Shins. They recorded their first album in late 2010, finishing the year with a string of tour dates supporting Passion Pit, joined by Michael Cera as their touring bassist. Joe Plummer
Joseph E. Plummer is an American drummer from Portland, Oregon. From 2004 to 2012 Plummer was a percussionist and drummer for the indie rock band Modest Mouse and performed on their album, '' We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank''. Before joining Modest Mouse, Plummer played with the indie rock bands The Black Heart Procession and The Magic Magicians. Plummer was one of the 88 drummers who participated in Japanese noise rock pioneers Boredoms 88 Boadrum performance on August 8, 2008. In May 2009, Plummer replaced Jesse Sandoval as the drummer for The Shins. Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks is an American rock band consisting of Stephen Malkmus, Mike Clark, Joanna Bolme, and Jake Morris. Malkmus was the main singer and songwriter behind the influential 1990s indie rock band Pavement. History The Jicks formed in 2000, almost immediately after Pavement's 1999 "hiatus" began. History In 1924, Harry Hoenselaar created a bone-in spiral-slicer that smoked and cooked a ham. He said the idea for the spiral ham slicer "came to him in a dream". Hoenselaar built his prototype spiral slicer using "a tire jack, a pie tin, a washing machine motor, and a knife". In the 1930s, Hoenselaar sold honey-glazed hams to drugstores in Detroit.
