Matt Flannelly
Matthew Flannelly (30 September 1889 – 22 October 1959) was an Irish Gaelic footballer. At club level he played with several clubs, including Tuam Stars, and was a member of the Galway senior football team. Career Flannelly first came to prominence as a Gaelic footballer with the St. Jarlath's Tuam that won the County Championship title in 1905. He subsequently lined out with the Tuam Stars when the rival clubs in the town merged, and won a further three championship titles. In 1910, Flannelly moved to Galway city and played with the Galway Commercials club for two years and took a leading role in the formation of the Galway Gaels club. Flannelly also enjoyed a ten-year association with the Galway senior football team and lined out in the 1919 All-Ireland final defeat by Kildare. Tuam Stars
Tuam Stars ( ga, Réalta Thuama) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Tuam area in County Galway, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA. Underage teams up to U-16's play in the Galway GAA, Galway league and championships while Minor, Junior, and Senior compete in their respective competitions in the North Board section. Tuam Stars are a Gaelic football club and are one of the most successful clubs in Galway Football's history. Stomach Cancer
Stomach cancer, also known as gastric cancer, is a cancer that develops from the lining of the stomach. Most cases of stomach cancers are gastric carcinomas, which can be divided into a number of subtypes, including gastric adenocarcinomas. Lymphomas and mesenchymal tumors may also develop in the stomach. Early symptoms may include heartburn, upper abdominal pain, nausea, and loss of appetite. Later signs and symptoms may include weight loss, yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, and blood in the stool, among others. The cancer may spread from the stomach to other parts of the body, particularly the liver, lungs, bones, lining of the abdomen, and lymph nodes. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in Ireland, and has been contested every year except one since 1887. The final, currently held on the third Sunday in August, is the culmination of a series of games played during July and August, with the winning team receiving the Liam MacCarthy Cup.
