Matt Doughty
Matthew Liam Doughty (born 2 November 1981) is an English former professional Association football, footballer and manager. He started his professional career at Chester City F.C., Chester City, but whilst at the club he was sent to prison for four months following an incident outside a nightclub in Warrington, this meant he missed Chester City's last game in the English Football League, Football League before they were relegated. In 2001, he joined Rochdale A.F.C., Rochdale where he spent three seasons before moving on to play for Halifax Town F.C., Halifax Town and Altrincham F.C., Altrincham respectively. In 2010, he moved to Witton Albion F.C., Witton Albion before joining Hyde United F.C., Hyde in March 2011. He later returned to Altrincham, before playing for Warrington Town F.C., Warrington Town and Trafford F.C., Trafford. Warrington () is a town and unparished area in the borough of the same name in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, on the banks of the River Mersey. It is east of Liverpool, and west of Manchester. The Conference League Cup (formerly known as the Setanta Shield for sponsorship reasons, and before that the Bob Lord Trophy) was a football competition open to clubs playing in the Football Conference. History The competition was formed for the inaugural season of what was then called the Alliance Premier League, in 1979–80 and existed for twenty-two seasons before being axed at the end of the 2000–01 season. It was briefly reformed for the 2004–05 season, in the form of the Conference Challenge Cup, but following a poor response it was again agreed not to renew the competition for the next season. Jim Harvey
James Harvey (born 2 May 1958) is a Northern Irish football manager and former player. Playing career As a player, Harvey began his career at Glenavon in his hometown of Lurgan, before joining Arsenal in 1977. He made only three Football League appearances and one UEFA Cup appearance in three years, with his debut coming against Derby County on 9 May 1978. Harvey moved to Hereford United in 1980, where he made 278 league appearances. He had a brief spell at Bristol City and then on loan to Wrexham, before moving to Tranmere Rovers in 1987; there he played 239 matches, scoring 19 goals, and became club captain. At Tranmere, he was the playmaker for a team who gained two promotions and won the Football League Trophy final in 1990. Alfreton ( ) is a town and civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. The town was formerly a Norman Manor and later an Urban District. The population of the Alfreton parish was 7,971 at the 2011 Census. The villages of Ironville, Riddings, Somercotes and Swanwick were historically part of the Manor and Urban District, and the population including these was 24,476 in 2001. History Alfreton is said to have been founded by King Alfred and to have derived its name from him. Kassam Stadium
The Kassam Stadium (also known as Grenoble Road) is the home of Oxford United Football Club, and is named after the ground's owner and former chairman of the football club, Firoz Kassam. The Kassam Stadium currently hosts League One (third tier) games although Oxford were relegated to Division Three (fourth tier) the season before the new stadium was built and were further relegated to the Conference National (fifth tier) in 2005–06.
