Matt Brinkman
Mat Brinkman (born 1973 in Austin, Texas) is an American artist and electronic musician. Also known as Matt Brinkman, Meerk Puffy, Mystery Brinkman, Brinkman, Brinkmangler, and Mucid Cuspidor. He is based in Colorado. History Brinkman was a co-creator of the ''Fort Thunde''r artist live-work space in Providence, Rhode Island from 1995–2001. He resided in the Providence artist live workspace ''Hilarious Attic'' from 2002–2007. He recorded with the bands Mindflayer and Forcefield, who performed at the 2002 Whitney Biennial. In 2000, his Teratoid Heights comic was published by Highwater Books. Noise is unwanted sound considered unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hearing. From a physics standpoint, there is no distinction between noise and desired sound, as both are vibrations through a medium, such as air or water. ''Thumper'' is a rhythm game developed and published by Drool and released in October 2016 on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4, with optional virtual reality (VR) support for the Oculus, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR headsets. Bruce Conner (November 18, 1933 – July 7, 2008) was an American artist who worked with assemblage, film, drawing, sculpture, painting, collage, and photography. Biography Bruce Conner was born November 18, 1933 in McPherson, Kansas.His well-to-do middle-class family moved to Wichita, when Conner was four. He attended high school in Wichita, Kansas. Mindflayer (band)
Mindflayer is a noise rock band from Providence, Rhode Island, made up of Brian Chippendale (of Lightning Bolt (band), Lightning Bolt) and Matt Brinkman, Mat Brinkmann (of Forcefield (art collective), Forcefield) which was formed out of Fort Thunder. Much of Mindflayer's identity, including the band name, are obscure Dungeons & Dragons references. The name of the band refers to psionic creatures in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, Illithids, commonly referred to as "mind flayers." The covers of ''Take Your Skin Off'' and ''Die & Mold Services'' also resemble the Illithid's squid-like faces.
