Daewoo Matiz
Daewoo ( ; Hangul: , Hanja: , ; literally "great universe" and a portmanteau of "dae" meaning great, and the given name of founder and chairman Kim Woo-choong) also known as the Daewoo Group, was a major South Korean chaebol (type of conglomerate) and automobile manufacturer. It was founded on 22 March 1967 as Daewoo Industrial and was declared bankrupt on 1 November 1999, with debts of about US$50 billion (equivalent to $ billion in ). Prior to the 1997 Asian financial crisis, Daewoo was the second largest conglomerate in South Korea after the Hyundai Group. Giacomo Matiz (born January 10, 1986, in Gemona del Friuli) is an Italian freestyle skier, specializing in moguls. Matiz competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for Italy. He placed 14th in the first qualifying round in the moguls, not advancing. He then finished 11th in the second qualifying round, again failing to advance. As of April 2014, his best showing at the World Championships is 14th, in the 2009 dual moguls. Matiz made his World Cup debut in February 2005. As of April 2014, his best World Cup finish is 8th, in a moguls event at Beida Lake in 2011–12. Leo Matiz
Leonet Matiz Espinoza (April 1, 1917 – October 24, 1998) was a Colombian photographer, caricaturist, newspaper publisher, painter and gallery owner. Early life Matiz was born in the small village of Aracataca in the Magdalena Department of Colombia to father Tulio Matiz and mother Eva Matiz. His hometown is also the birthplace of Gabriel Garcia Marquez. He travelled widely and sold caricatures and illustrations to earn a living. In 1951, Matiz's gallery hosted the first exhibition of Colombian artist Fernando Botero with a showing of his paintings at the Bogotá gallery. Career Matiz was known for his sense of style including a thick slightly long hair, colored jackets, and gangster style mustache. He had a robust laugh and carried his caricatures and drawings in a folder. Fatih Karaca (; born 31 August 1985), better known by his stage name Mabel Matiz (), is a Turkish pop music singer-songwriter. He chose his stage name from two different words that he was inspired by. "Mabel" is from the Turkish novel ''Kumral Ada Mavi Tuna'' by Buket Uzuner. It is the nickname of Tuna, who is one of the main characters. "Matiz" is a slang word in the old Greek language meaning "drunk". "Mabel Matiz" reflects his point of view about the world and life.
