Mabel Matiz
Fatih Karaca (; born 31 August 1985), better known by his stage name Mabel Matiz (), is a Turkish pop music singer-songwriter. He chose his stage name from two different words that he was inspired by. "Mabel" is from the Turkish novel ''Kumral Ada Mavi Tuna'' by Buket Uzuner. It is the nickname of Tuna, who is one of the main characters. "Matiz" is a slang word in the old Greek language meaning "drunk". "Mabel Matiz" reflects his point of view about the world and life. He has released five studio albums. Musical career He began releasing his own songs via Myspace in 2008. Turkish music producer Engin Akıncı noticed his songs and offered him an album. He released his first studio album, ''Mabel Matiz'', in 2011 with Esen Müzik label. Except two songs, which were written by Birhan Keskin and Yalçın Tosun, all of the other pieces were written and composed by Mabel Matiz himself. ''Zaman'' (, literally "time" or "era"), sometimes stylized as ZAMAN, was a daily newspaper in Turkey. KAOS GL
KAOS GL, short for Kaos Gay and Lesbian Cultural Research and Solidarity Association ( tr, Kaos Gey ve Lezbiyen Kültürel Araştırmalar ve Dayanışma Derneği), founded in 1994, is one of the oldest and largest LGBT rights organisations in Turkey. In 2005, the Ankara-based organisation became the first Turkish LGBT organisation to be legally registered as an association, after their application was initially appealed by deputy governor of Ankara. The organisation has been publishing the journal ''KAOS GL'' (now a quarterly publication) since its founding. The group operates the KAOS Cultural Center, which hosts cultural activities, meetings, and showings of films. The centre also houses an LGBT history library. Nükhet Duru
Nükhet Duru (born 19 May 1954) is a Turkish singer. She started singing at Florya Deniz Club in Istanbul in 1971. She released her first 45 album “Aklımda Sen Fikrimde Sen – Karadır Kaşların” in 1974. It was followed by many singles like “Beni Benimle Bırak – Cambaz- Harp ve Sulh-Gerisi Vız Gelir” (1975), with which she won a Golden Plate. Her first LP album “Bir Nefes Gibi” was released in 1977. In that same year, Duru was awarded the “Most Successful Female Singer of the Year”. In 1978, she participated in a song contest with Modern Folk Trio, which was held in Seoul, and won first place. Selda Bağcan (; born December 14, 1948) is a Turkish folk singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music producer. Early life Selda Bağcan was born in 1948 in the western Turkish town of Muğla. Her father was a veterinarian medician of Macedonian Turk origin from the town of Bitola and her mother was a teacher of Crimean Tatar origin. She had two older brothers named Savaş and Sezer, and a younger brother named Serter was born when Selda was two years old. Ceylan Ertem (born 1 December 1980) is Turkish singer-songwriter. Early life and career Ceylan Ertem started her musical career by joining the Akhisar Municipality’s children choir. She started learning how to play piano in 1995 and moved to Istanbul in 1999 to continue her musical education. There she attended the Mujdat Gezen Art Academy and studied Western Music for 2 years.
