Matija Špičić
Matija Špičić (born 24 February 1988) is a Croatian footballer who plays for NK Kralj Tomislav. Club career Špičić joined NK Zagreb as a twelve-year-old. A product of NK Zagreb youth academy, he was promoted to first team in April 2006 and has been playing for the club ever since, usually as left winger. Although he was seen as one of the most talented NK Zagreb young players, his career suffered a setback when he broke his leg twice in 2008. After a period of recovery, he is now a first-team regular with the team. As of October 2009, he has earned 33 caps and scored 11 goals for Croatia's national team at various youth levels between 2003 and 2009. and was a first-team member of the squad which participated at the 2005 European Under-17 Championship. The Croatia national under-19 football team represents Croatia in international football at this age level and is controlled by the Croatian Football Federation, the governing body for football in Croatia. Competition history Prior to 1990 Croatian players played for the Yugoslavia Under-18 team. Although the Croatian team was formed in the early 1990s after the breakup of Yugoslavia, the Under-18 team had to wait for UEFA to officially accept Croatian Football Federation's membership bid in order to be included in UEFA-governed competitions. The Russian First League (russian: Первая лига, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division (russian: Первый дивизион) and Russian Football National League (FNL) (russian: Первенство Футбольной Национальной Лиги, Pervenstvo Futbol'noy Natsional'noy Ligi) is the second level of the Russian football league system. 2010–11 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2010–11 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 20th since its establishment and third since its reorganization. Shakhtar Donetsk were the defending champions, having won their 5th league title. A total of sixteen teams participated in the competition, fourteen of them contested the 2009–10 season while the remaining two were promoted from the Ukrainian First League. The competition began on 9 July 2010 with four games. After the 19th Round, the competition was suspended for the winter break and resumed on 3 March 2011. On 6 May 2011, Shakhtar Donetsk retained the championship with a 2–0 derby victory over rivals Metalurh Donetsk. The top five teams were exactly the same as the previous season. The Croatian Football Federation ( hr, Hrvatski nogometni savez, HNS) is the governing body of association football in Croatia. It was originally formed in 1912 and is based in the capital city of Zagreb. The organisation is a member of both FIFA and UEFA, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game of football in Croatia. The current president of HNS is Marijan Kustić.
