Matias Defensor Jr.
Matias Defensor (born September 23, 1943) is a Filipino politician. A member of Lakas CMD, he represented the 3rd District of Quezon City in the House of Representatives of the Philippines for two terms from 2004 to 2010. He failed to win a third term as 2010 Elections, losing to Jorge Banal. He ran again for the same position in the 2013 elections but lost. He is married to Florence Defensor. He is the father of Mike Defensor Michael Tan Defensor (, born June 30, 1969) is a Filipino politician who most recently served as the Party-list Representative for Anakalusugan from 2019 to 2022. Quezon City (, ; fil, Lungsod Quezon ), also known as the City of Quezon and Q.C. (read in Filipino as Kyusi), is the List of cities in the Philippines, most populous city in the Philippines. The 2010 Philippine House of Representatives elections were held on May 10, 2010, to elect members to the House of Representatives of the Philippines to serve in the 15th Congress of the Philippines from June 30, 2010, to June 30, 2013. Quezon City's 3rd congressional district is one of the six congressional districts of the Philippines in Quezon City. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1987.
