Mathias De Tonsberg
Mats de Tonsberg or Mathias de Tonsberg (1638–1705) was a Norwegian civil servant and timber trader. He was born in Tønsberg in Jarlsberg og Larvik county in Norway to civil servant Anders Madssøn (1609-1670) and Karen Stranger (1617-1698). He was a brother-in-law of Christian Stockfleth, and uncle of Karen Toller. Born into a wealthy family, he studied at the University of Copenhagen from 1655, and subsequently politics and history at the Leiden University from 1661. After visiting several European universities, he returned to Norway in 1668, and was assigned an administrative position at the Akershus Castle. He was a member of ''Overhofretten'' court from 1684 until 1692. In 1704, he was named a member of ''Slottsloven''. Tønsberg
Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Tønsberg. The city is the most populous metropolis in the district of Vestfold with a population of 52,419 in 2019. The municipality has a population of 56,293 and covers an area of in 2020. Tønsberg also serves as the seat for the County Governor of Vestfold og Telemark. The diocesan governor of kristiansand was a government agency of the Kingdom of Norway. The title was (before 1919) and in 1919 all stiftamt were abolished in favor of equal counties ( no, fylker). The (diocesan county) of ''Stavanger'' was established in 1662 by the King. It was originally made up of three subordinate counties: Stavanger amt, Bratsberg amt, and Agdesiden amt. In 1671, Agdesiden was divided into two new counties: Lister og Mandal amt and Nedenæs amt. Stavanger stiftamt was led by a ''stiftamtmann'' and the subordinate counties were led by an ''amtmann''. Claus Røyem
Claus Røyem (1636–1692) was a Dano-Norwegian civil servant and government official. He served as the acting Diocesan Governor of Kristiansand, Diocesan Governor of Christianssand stiftamt from 1685 until his death in 1692. He was the son of a merchant in Sønderborg Niels Clausen Røyem and his wife Mette Nielsdatter. He married Else Dop, who was the daughter of the Provost (religion), Provost Christen Dop and his wife Maren Olufsdatter Prytz. In 1672 he bought a share in the farm Haughem in Sandefjord, which he owned until his death. In 1659, he was bailiff in Tønsberg. He then became a councilor in Tønsberg in 1673. In 1675 he was appointed as the bailiff in Brunlanes, Brunla. In 1683 he became a county administrator in Larvik county.
