Mateusz Cierniak
Mateusz Cierniak (born on 3 October 2002) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career In 2021, Cierniak finished second in the Krosno round of the World Under 21 Championship. He was denied the chance to compete for the title itself after only being allowed to compete in one of the three rounds because he was not listed as one of the original qualified riders. Cierniak won the gold medal at the World Under-21 Championship in the 2022 SGP2 and the World U-21 Team Championship. Klub Motorowy Cross Lublin also known as the Platinum Motor Lublin through sponsorship rights, is a Polish motorcycle speedway team based in Lublin. The team currently competes in the Ekstraliga (the highest division) and have won the Team Speedway Polish Championship once. Lejonen
Lejonen (the Lions) is a motorcycle speedway club from Gislaved in Sweden, who compete in the Elitserien. Their home track is at the OnePartnerGroup Arena which is Sweden's oldest track still in use. The club are two times champions of Sweden. History In December 1929 Gislaved Motorclub was formed and by 1931 the track was built. The track was originally wide and long but in 1936 it was widened to and during the 1980s the inside edge of the track was moved and the length was reduced to . The Speedway Under-21 World Championship is an annual speedway event held each year organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) since 1977. The 2022 Speedway of Nations 2 (SON2) was the 18th FIM Team Under-21 World Championship season. The one-off final took place on 29 July 2022 at the Vojens Speedway Center in Vojens, Denmark. Despite the change of name to Speedway of Nations 2 (SON2), the format remained the same as 2021 Team Speedway Junior World Championship, 2021 with seven teams - Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Great Britain, Latvia, Poland and Sweden competing for the title. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). The 2021 Individual Speedway Under 21 World Championship was the 45th edition of the FIM Individual Under-21 World Championship. It was staged over three rounds, at Stralsund, Krosno and Pardubice. 2022 SGP2
The 2022 SGP2 series was the 46th edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Individual Speedway Junior World Championship, Individual Under-21 World Championship. It was staged as the SGP2 class of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series after rights holders Discovery Channel, Discovery Sports Events took over promotional rights of the competition prior to the start of the season. The series was staged over three rounds at Prague, Cardiff and Torun. Poland's Mateusz Cierniak won the title, winning two of the three rounds in the process.
