Mateo Santos
Mateo Santos is a fictional character from the soap opera ''All My Children''. He was first portrayed by Tito Ortiz in a guest appearance in 1994 but is best known as being portrayed by Mark Consuelos from 1995–2002. Consuelos temporarily returned as Mateo for ''All My Children's'' 40th anniversary on January 4–5, 2010. Storylines Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Mateo comes to Pine Valley in 1995 with his family. One night, Mateo stumbles upon a distraught Hayley Vaughan on the beach still in her wedding gown. Mark Consuelos
Mark Andrew Consuelos (; born March 30, 1971) is an American actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Mateo Santos on the ABC soap opera ''All My Children'' (1995–2001; 2010) and as Hiram Lodge on The CW drama '' Riverdale'' (2017–2021). Early life Mark Consuelos was born in Zaragoza, Spain, to an Italian mother, Camilla, and a Mexican father, Saul Consuelos. He is the youngest of three children: he has one older brother, who is a doctor, and one older sister, who is a lawyer. Consuelos was raised in Italy and the United States since childhood, growing up in Lebanon, Illinois, and later in Brandon, Florida.
