Massey Lake, Texas
Massey Lake is an unincorporated community in Anderson County, located within the U.S. state of Texas. It is located within the Palestine, Texas micropolitan area. History Massey Lake was named for an early settler who owned the land in this area. A post office was established at Massey Lake in 1922 and remained in operation until around 1956. In 1925, the settlement had 20 residents and it was that same number throughout 1966 when the last population figures for the community were available. During the 1930s and 1940s, there was only one business, two churches, and a few scattered housing units in the community. In 1985, it had a church, two businesses, and numerous homes. Geography Massey Lake stands along Farm to Market Road 2054, northwest of Palestine and southwest of Tennessee Colony in the western part of Anderson County. Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport is a city-owned, public-use airport located west of Tyler, in Smith County, Texas, United States. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 called it a "primary commercial service" airport. Federal Aviation Administration records show 76,168 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 73,841 in 2009, and 74,357 in 2010. The airport has been expanding to meet goals in the Tyler Master Plan; on August 17, 2002, the airport opened a new terminal building, doubling its space. Lance Carter Gooden (born December 1, 1982) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Texas's 5th congressional district since 2019. His district includes parts of eastern Dallas, as well as a large swath of exurban and rural territory to Dallas's east. Texas's 5th congressional district of the United States House of Representatives is in an area that includes a northeast portion of the City of Dallas, Dallas County including Mesquite plus a number of smaller suburban, exurban and rural counties south and east of Dallas, including Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson, Van Zandt, and Kaufman.
