Mass graves in Škofja Loka were created in Škofja Loka, Slovenia during and after the Second World War. The Commission on Concealed Mass Graves in Slovenia has registered seven known mass graves in the city itself and an additional 20 in the Municipality of Škofja Loka. Škofja Loka (; german: Bischoflack) is a town in Slovenia. It is the economic, cultural, educational, and administrative center of the Municipality of Škofja Loka in Upper Carniola. It has about 12,000 inhabitants. Geography Škofja Loka lies at an elevation of at the confluence of the Poljane Sora and the Selca Sora rivers, at the transition of the Sora Plain into the Škofja Loka Hills and the Polhov Gradec Hills. Its old center stands on river terraces, and comprises Town Square (''Plac'') and Lower Square (''Lontrg''). On a plateau above the town stands Loka Castle, which houses the Loka Museum. Above the castle rises Krancelj Hill (). North of the town center is Kamnitnik Hill ( high), known for its conglomerate rock. Breznica pod Lubnikom () is a village in the Municipality of Škofja Loka in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Geography Breznica pod Lubnikom is a village with a clustered core on the south slope of Mount Lubnik (). It also included the hamlets and isolated farms of Dolinček, Potočnik, Pri Nacetu, Rohotnik, Zalubnikar, and Žerinc. The Breznica Gorge (''Brezniška grapa'') lies to the east, the Potočnik Gorge (''Potočniška grapa'') to the northwest below Pleše Hill (), and the Sopotnik Gorge (''Sopotniška grapa'') to the west below Hoje Hill (). The village is connected by road to Podpulfrca in the Poljane Sora, Poljane Sora Valley to the southeast. Name Breznica pod Lubnikom was attested in written sources as ''Brieznitz'' in 1291 and ''Nabresnitzi'' in 1500, among other spellings.
