Maska (rapper)
Bastien Vincent, known by his stage name Maska (born 21 May 1985 in Paris), is a French rapper and dancer. He is a founding member of the French rap/hip hop collective Sexion d'Assaut. In October 2014, Maska released his first solo album'', Espace-temps'', which ranked 14th on the Top Albums in France. Early life Originally from Lozère, he grew up in Paris in the 9th arrondissement while mingling with his friends, most of whom would later become part of the hip hop group Sexion d'Assault. He grew up in a rich neighborhood despite his family having a substandard income, a situation much early in Bastien's life which would leave him with feelings of unease. Having experienced a musical awakening quite young thanks to his parents, Maska became a fan of French rap who, unlike Gims, ended up receiving a rather American musical education, influenced by Sisqó, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Johnny Clegg. Dadju Djuna Nsungula (; born 2 May 1991), better known by the mononym Dadju or at times Prince Dadj, is a French singer. He was signed to the label Wati B and in 2017 signed with Polydor Records of Universal Music Group. He was a member of the musical formation Shin Sekaï alongside rapper Abou Tall from 2012 to 2016. The duo was part of the label Wati B and released the album ''Indéfini''. The duo announced that they were breaking up so they can each follow solo careers. ''Subliminal'' () is the debut solo album by Congolese-French singer and rapper Maître Gims. The 18-track album was released 20 May 2013 on Wati B and Monstre Marin Corporation, the latter founded by Maître Gims himself. The lyrics were all by Maître Gims whereas the music was by Maître Gims, Renaud Rebillaud and Stan-E Music. The album was a great success charting in France (reaching #2), Belgium (reaching #1) as well as charting in Switzerland. On 2 December 2013, it was reissued and titled ''Subliminal / La face cachée'' (, ), including 6 additional tracks for a total of 24 tracks. L'Institut is a French hip hop collective, established in 2005 as an offshoot of Sexion d'Assaut, and associated with Wati B. L'institut was formed by various rap and hip hop / freestyle acts mostly coming from 9th arrondissement in Paris. L'Institut released the collective album ''Equipe de nuit'' in June 2013 that included in addition various collaborations with L.I.O. Pétrodollars, S.Pri Noir and Shin Sekaï. The group was dissolved in 2014, despite encouraging initial success with various band members concentrating on solo projects and collaborations. A mixtape (alternatively mix-tape, mix tape or mixed tape) is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded onto a medium. ''L’Apogée'' is the third official album by French rap group Sexion d'Assaut composed of Maître Gims, Lefa, Barack Adama, Maska, JR O Crom, Black M, Doomams, and L.I.O. Petrodollars. This album was released on March 5, 2012 in stores and available for download. In November 2011, an unofficial date for the album's release was announced for February 20, 2012 but on December 17, 2011, the official date was unveiled as March 5, 2012. The first title unveiled by the band is "Mets pas celle là", December 11, 2011 (after the 'Welcome To The Wa' video shot in the album's laboratory, an isolated place in Normandy). Petrodollars (which only appears once in the album). This album was released on March 29, 2010 in stores and available for download.
