Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru
is a mecha multimedia franchise originally created by Sunrise and Red Entertainment. The first series aired on April 15, 1988, replacing the 17:00–17:30 timeslot used for '' Transformers: The Headmasters''. Mecha
In science fiction, or mechs are giant robots or machines controlled by people, typically depicted as humanoid walking vehicles. The term was first used in Japanese after shortening the English loanword or , but the meaning in Japanese is more inclusive, and or 'giant robot' is the narrower term. Fictional mecha vary greatly in size and shape, but are distinguished from vehicles by their humanoid or biomorphic appearance, although they are bigger, often much bigger, than human beings. Red Entertainment
is a video game developer and publisher based in Japan. Originally founded in 1976 as (though it did not begin doing business until 1985), it was reorganized and succeeded by a new company on December 4, 2000, under its current moniker of Red Entertainment. While Red Company as a public corporation dates back to the mid-1980s, the first title released under the Red Entertainment brand was '' Gungrave'' on July 17, 2002. Choriki Robo Galatt
is a comedy-science fiction anime series by Sunrise. It is also known as ''Super Robot Galatt'' and ''Change Robo Galatt''. It consists of 25 episodes and was originally broadcast on the TV Asahi network as well as some Fuji TV, Nippon TV and TBS affiliate stations. Sunrise produced the series with the cooperation of Asahi network affiliate Nagoya TV.
