Tokugawa Masako
, also known as Kazu-ko, was the Empress consort of Japan as wife of Emperor Go-Mizunoo. She was a prominent and influential figure the Imperial-shogunate ties and relations, because of her collaboration with her parents Oeyo and Tokugawa Hidetada, the second ''shōgun'' of the Edo period. History * 1620 (''Genna 6''): Masako entered the palace as a consort of the Emperor Go-Mizunoo. Although there was already a concubine for Go-Mizunoo, the marriage to Masako was celebrated with great pomp. * 1624: Masako is granted the title of chūgū (中宮), indicating she was a second legitimate wife and therefore an established Empress Consort. Masako Sen
, formerly , is a former member of the Imperial Family of Japan. She is the fourth child and second daughter of Takahito, Prince Mikasa and Yuriko, Princess Mikasa. She is the wife of the 16th-generation Soshitsu Sen. Education For her early education as a child, Princess Masako attended Gakushuin Elementary School and then Gakushuin Women's Secondary School. She later enrolled in the Department of Japanese Language and Literature, Faculty of Letters, Gakushuin University. After completing three years, she was sent to a boarding school in Switzerland and moved to Paris for studying in the University of Sorbonne. Masako Seki
was an international table tennis player from Japan. Table tennis career From 1961 to 1965 she won several medals in singles, doubles, and team events in the World Table Tennis Championships and in the Asian Table Tennis Championships. Her eight World Championship medals included four gold medals; two in team event, one in the doubles with Kimiyo Matsuzaki at the 1963 World Table Tennis Championships and one in the mixed doubles with Koji Kimura at the 1965 World Table Tennis Championships.
