Maryland Route 159
Maryland Route 159 (MD 159) is a state highway located in Harford County in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known for most of its length as Perryman Road, the state highway runs from a dead end at the Bush River near Perryman north to U.S. Route 40 (US 40) and MD 7 in Aberdeen. The northernmost part of MD 159 was constructed in the early 1920s and became the original alignment of US 40. The Perryman Road portion of MD 159 was constructed in the late 1920s and early 1930s. MD 159 was extended west along what was MD 7 to US 40 in 1950. Route description MD 159 begins at a dead end at the Bush River. The state highway heads northeast as Perryman Road, a two-lane undivided road that closely parallels Amtrak's Northeast Corridor railroad line, which also serves MARC's Penn Line. Bush River (Maryland)
Bush River is a tidal estuary in Harford County, Maryland, located about 15 mi (24 km) northeast of Baltimore. The estuary extends from the community of Riverside, south for about 9 mi (14 km), to the Chesapeake Bay. The watershed area of tidal Bush River is 125 mi2 (320 km2), and includes Aberdeen Proving Ground, a military facility. MARC Train
MARC (Maryland Area Rail Commuter) is a commuter rail system in the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area. MARC is administered by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) and operated under contract by Alstom and Amtrak on track owned by CSX Transportation (CSXT) and Amtrak. Riverside is a census-designated place (CDP) in Harford County, Maryland, United States. The population was 6,425 at the 2010 census. The term "Riverside" is generally used interchangeably with "Belcamp"; both names are accepted for the U.S. Postal Service's ZIP Code of 21017. However, the original community of Belcamp is located south of U.S. Route 40, outside the Riverside CDP. Geography Riverside is located at (39.476385, −76.244943). Penn Line
The Penn Line is a MARC commuter rail service running from Union Station in Washington, D.C., to Perryville, Maryland, along the far southern leg of the Northeast Corridor. However, the great majority of trains terminate at Baltimore's Penn Station. It is MARC's busiest and only electric line. With trains running at speeds of up to , it is the fastest commuter line in the United States. The service is operated by Amtrak under contract to the Maryland Transit Administration. Northeast Corridor
The Northeast Corridor (NEC) is an electrified railroad line in the Northeast megalopolis of the United States. Owned primarily by Amtrak, it runs from Boston through Providence, New Haven, Stamford, New York City, Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Baltimore to Washington, D.C. Perryman is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Harford County, Maryland, United States. The population was 2,342 at the 2010 census. History St. George's Parish Vestry House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
