Martyr's Memorial A-Division League
Martyr's Memorial A-Division League ( Nepali: शहीद स्मारक ए- डिभिजन लिग; formerly known as the Kathmandu League Championship) is the top divisions of football in Nepal. Contested by 12 to 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League. The season usually runs from November to March with every team playing each other once and the top six teams reach the Super Six round, where the teams again play each other once. It is officially known as the Qatar Airways Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. A new Nepal National League was created in 2011 to give chance to compete A level tournaments to the clubs outside Kathmandu valley. All Nepal Football Association
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) (Nepali language, Nepali: अखिल नेपाल फुटबल संघ (एन्फा)) is the governing body of football in Nepal. It is responsible for the Nepal national football team, national team as well as club competitions. The organisation was founded in 1951 as the All Nepal Football Association and became affiliated with FIFA in 1972. The current President of ANFA is Pankaj Bikram Nembang. Ranipokhari Corner Team is a Nepalese football club from Kathmandu. It is the second-most successful team in the history of the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, having won the title six times. Manang Marshyangdi Club ( ne, मनाङ मर्स्याङ्दी क्लब) is a Nepali professional football club based in Kathmandu, that competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. The club is record champion of Nepalese football, having won 8 National Championship Titles. Historically, they have a fierce rivalry with Three Star Club and Nepal Police Club, a departmental team. Machhindra FC (formally known as Machhindra Bahal Club) is a Nepali professional football club from the central Kathmandu, neighborhood of Keltole, playing in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. History Machhindra FC was established in 1973. For sponsorship reasons, it was named ''Machhindra Bahal Club'' in 2004, and ''Machhindra Energizer FC'' in 2006. The club was promoted to Nepal's top football division in 2004. The team was one of the first teams in Nepal to appoint a foreign coach, Johan Kalin, in 2013, claiming that he was the highest qualified coach in Nepalese football history. Himalayan Sherpa Club is a Nepali professional football club based in the city of Kathmandu (originally from Hattigauda), that competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, top flight of Nepali football. They play at the Dasarath Rangasala Stadium. History The club was founded on 25 September 2006 and played their first tournament at the 2007 edition of the Aaha! Gold Cup. According to RSSSF, the club was "promoted from 4th to 2nd level within 2 months". The club were promoted to the ANFA 'A' Division League one year later. Due to financial disagreements between the League Association ANFA and the Nepal Football Association, the 2007/08 season was canceled before the start of the season. Friends Club is a Nepali professional football club from the Kopundole neighborhood of Lalitpur. The club is known for nurturing young talent of Nepalese Football. Friends Club has produced more than 200 national football players to date. 2022 Martyr's Memorial B-Division League
The 2022 Martyr's Memorial B-Division League season is the ongoing edition of the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League. It started on 2 March 2022. Teams A total of 14 teams will contest the league with a relegation system. Ten teams from 2020 season, one team relegated from A-Division and three teams promoted from C-Division will participate in the league. Saraswati Youth Club was relegated from 2019–20 season, while Church Boys, Birgunj United Club and Samajik Yuwa Club were promoted from 2021 season.
