Martin Roesink
Martin Roesink (born 24 July 1939) is a Dutch professional golfer. In the mid-1960s he had much success in Australasian region, posting several high finishes culminating with a win at the 1967 New Zealand Wills Masters. The following year he tried out for the PGA Tour and was successful, performing as medallist at the fall Q-School. He played on the PGA Tour for five seasons, recording a number of top tens, including a runner-up finish in 1970. Since then, he has worked primarily as a club professional and golf manager in the American state of Ohio. Early life Roesink was born in Diepenveen, Netherlands. Diepenveen
Diepenveen is a village in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Deventer, Overijssel, about 4 km north of the city centre. History The village was first mentioned in 1417 as Diepenveen, and means "low lying peat". Diepenveen is a village on a sand hill which developed around the Augustinian nunnery which was founded in 1408. The monastery was destroyed during the Siege of Deventer in 1578 by George de Lalaing, Count of Rennenberg. The church of monastery was taken by the Dutch Reformed Church in 1659. The building dates between 1409 and 1411. It was restored in 1720 and again in 1838. The ''havezate'' (manor house) Oud Rande was originally built in the 15th century. Clive Anthony Clark (born 27 June 1945) is an English professional golfer and more recently a broadcaster and golf course architect. Early life and amateur career Clark started playing golf at the age of 12. He was a Junior Member at both Scarborough North Cliff and Ganton, both golf clubs being in Yorkshire, England. His dedication to the sport resulted in early success, being runner-up in The Boys' Championship and in successive years was Captain of the British Boys' Team against Europe, and later Captained The English Youth's Team vs Scotland. He progressed in his late teens to be successful in major Amateur Championships. The Spalding Masters was a golf tournament held in New Zealand from 1968 to 1972. The event was generally hosted by Tauranga Golf Club in Tauranga, although the 1968 event was held at the nearby Mount Manganui Golf Club. Ted Ball
Edward A. Ball (4 November 1939 – 17 April 1995) was an Australian professional golfer. He won several dozen significant tournaments in his career. Golf career Ball was born in Hornsby, New South Wales. He had a decorated amateur career, including a win at the Australian Amateur in 1960, along with several other amateur victories. He turned professional in the early 1960s and found immediate success. He won his first title in 1962 at the Queensland Open. He added numerous wins after that internationally. Royal Liverpool Golf Club
The Royal Liverpool Golf Club is a golf club in Wirral in Merseyside, England. It was founded in 1869 on what was then the racecourse of the Liverpool Hunt Club. Ben Arda
Ben Arda (13 June 1929 – 20 December 2006) was a Filipino professional golfer. Arda, known as ''Bantam Ben'' and ''the Toy Tiger'' because of his small stature, was one of Asia's leading golfers during the 1960s and 1970s. He was the first Filipino to qualify for the Masters Tournament and The Open Championship. He won nine tournaments on the Asia Golf Circuit, including the Philippine Open three times, and headed the points list in 1970. Singapore Open (golf)
The Singapore Open was a golf tournament in Singapore that was predominantly part of the Asian Tour schedule. The event was held at Sentosa Golf Club since 2005 and since 2017 had been part of the Open Qualifying Series, giving up to four non-exempt players entry into The Open Championship. The Singapore Open was founded in 1961 and was one of the tournaments on the first season of the Far East Circuit (later the Asia Golf Circuit) the following year. It remained part of the Asia circuit until 1993 when it became a fixture on the Australasian Tour. Tony Jacklin
Anthony Jacklin CBE (born 7 July 1944) is a retired English golfer. He was the most successful British player of his generation, winning two major championships, the 1969 Open Championship and the 1970 U.S. Open. He was also Ryder Cup captain from 1983 to 1989; Europe winning two and tying another of these four events.
