Martin Bauer (motorcycle Racer)
Martin Bauer (born 30 December 1975 in Mödling) is an Austrian former motorcycle racer. He was champion of the German IDM Superbike series in 2007, 2008 and 2011 riding a Honda CBR1000RR in 2007 and 2008 and a KTM 1190 RC8 in 2011, he also has raced in two Superbike World Championship rounds, one in and other in riding a Honda; in 2007 he raced as a wildcard for Holzhauer Racing Promotion in the Eurospeedway Lausitz round, retiring in race 1 and finishing 17th in race 2, while in 2008 he raced for Hannspree Ten Kate Honda replacing an injured Ryuichi Kiyonari in the Magny-Cours round, finishing 17th in race 1 and retiring in race 2. Mödling
Mödling () is the capital of the Austrian Mödling (district), district of the same name located approximately 14 km south of Vienna. Mödling lies in Lower Austria's industrial zone (Industrieviertel). The Mödlingbach, a brook which rises in the Vienna Woods, flows through the town. Near Achau it joins with the Schwechat. Woodland occupies a large part of the municipality, part of the Föhrenberge ('Pine Mountains'). The 2013 Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix was the seventeen round of the 2013 MotoGP season. It was held at the Twin Ring Motegi in Motegi on 27 October 2013. Jorge Lorenzo won the MotoGP race to gain Yamaha its 200th victory in the 500cc/MotoGP class. Pol Espargaró clinched the Moto2 world title after title contenders Scott Redding and Esteve Rabat crashed out in the race. This was Valentino Rossi's 200th race in the 500cc/MotoGP class. 2013 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2013 Australian motorcycle Grand Prix was the sixteenth round of the 2013 MotoGP season. It was held at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Phillip Island on 20 October 2013. The MotoGP race was originally scheduled to run over 27 laps but was shortened to 19 laps after Bridgestone announced that the safety of its tyres on the newly resurfaced track could not be guaranteed after 10 laps. Riders were required to make a pitstop to swap bikes or change tyres at least once during the race, and no rider was permitted to use the same set of tyres for more than 10 laps. Marc Márquez and Bryan Staring were both disqualified for riding an 11-lap stint without pitting. Jorge Lorenzo won the race and closed up the gap to Márquez in the championship to 18 points. The 2013 Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix was the fifteenth round of the 2013 MotoGP season. It was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Sepang on 13 October 2013. Spain's Ana Carrasco became the first female rider to score a point since Katja Poensgen at the 2001 Italian Grand Prix, and the first in the Moto3 class. 2013 United States Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2013 United States motorcycle Grand Prix was the ninth round of the 2013 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season, and the second of three races in the 2013 season to take place in the United States of America. It was held on 21 July at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California. Like always, only a MotoGP class race was held at Laguna Seca. Stefan Bradl took pole position, recording his first pole position in MotoGP. At the famous corkscrew turn on lap 4 Marc Márquez, having had a faster run out of the previous corner, ran around the outside of Valentino Rossi coming into the corkscrew and was run wide by Rossi mid-corner. Márquez replicated the overtake that Rossi made on Casey Stoner at the same corner in 2008 to pass the Italian and gave chase to Bradl. The 2013 Dutch TT was the seventh round of the 2013 MotoGP season. It was held at the TT Circuit Assen in Assen on 29 June 2013. MotoGP race report This race was most notable for Valentino Rossi's comeback ride to win the race and Jorge Lorenzo's excellent ride to fifth place after a heavy crash in one of the free practice sessions where he badly injured his left collarbone. On Thursday, reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo crashed heavily during free practice in wet conditions and fractured his left collarbone as a result. After surgery he was able to take part in the race on Saturday. After six rounds, Dani Pedrosa narrowly leads the title hunt with 123 points.
