Martin Bagge
Martin Bagge (born 29 November 1958) is a Swedish musician and composer known for his interpretations of Carl Michael Bellman's songs. Biography Martin Bagge was educated at the Academy of Music at the University of Gothenburg. As a songwriter, he specializes in older Swedish songwriters such as Carl Michael Bellman, Olof von Dalin, and Lasse Lucidor, but he has also set to music lyrics by writers such as Harry Martinson and Elisabet Hermodsson. He also performs Bellman songs abroad, for example in Germany and Denmark. As a choral composer, he has attracted attention for his settings of poems by Federico García Lorca and Ebba Lindqvist. His recordings include many of Carl Michael Bellman's 1790 ''Fredman's Epistles'' and 1791 '' Fredman's Songs'', such as "Glimmande nymf", " Ack, du min moder", " Vila vid denna källa", and "Fjäriln vingad syns på Haga". Mölnlycke
Mölnlycke is a small town nearby Greater Gothenburg, a locality and the seat of Härryda Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 17,499 inhabitants in 2019. The urban area stretches over two municipalities. Mölndal Municipality is the second. History The first people to settle in the area that would later become Mölnlycke came there during the Stone Age. At this time there were five lakes, which today are formed into one single lake. The lake shore is one of the places where many ancient remains have been found. It is speculated that when people learned to farm, this population moved out of the region to an area better for farming. The next known human settlement was during the Middle Ages, and this is also when the first Råda Church was built. ''Fredmans sånger'' (in English, ''Fredman's Songs'' or ''Songs of Fredman'') is a collection of 65 poems and songs published in 1791 by the Swedish poet Carl Michael Bellman. As a follow-up to ''Fredmans epistlar'' from the previous year, the book contains songs from a longer period. There are bible travesties ("Gubben Noak", "Gubben Loth och hans gamla Fru", "Joachim uti Babylon"), drinking songs ("Bacchi Proclama", "Til buteljen"), rococo pastorales ('' Opp Amaryllis!''), and lyrical passages ("Fjäriln vingad syns på Haga"). Several of these songs including ''Gubben Noak'' and ''Fjäriln vingad'' are known by heart by many Swedes. Grouping of the songs Bellman had public performances known as the '' Bacchi orden'' ("Order of Bacchus"). ''Fredmans epistlar'' (English: ''Fredman's Epistles'') is List of Fredman's Epistles, a collection of 82 poems set to music by Carl Michael Bellman, a major figure in Sweden, Swedish 18th century song. Though first published in 1790, it was created over a period of twenty years from 1768 onwards. A companion volume, ''Fredmans sånger'' (Fredman's Songs) was published the following year. The Epistles vary widely in style and effect, from Rococo-themed pastorale with a cast of gods and demigods from classical antiquity to laments for the effects of Brännvin-drinking, tavern-scenes, and apparent improvisations. Dan Berglund
Dan Berglund (born 5 May 1963) is a Swedish musician who mainly plays the upright bass and is known within jazz and fusion. Biography Berglund was familiar with Swedish folk music as well as with pop and rock music. At the age of ten he started playing rock guitar, but later changed to bass guitar. As part of his musical training at the ''Birka Folkhögskola'' in Östersund he came to pick up the upright bass and played in the regional symphony orchestra, with whom he also had guest performances and first television appearances. In 1990 he moved to Stockholm to study at the Kungliga Musikhögskolan. There he played in the group '' Jazz Furniture '' and in the quintet of Lina Nyberg, where he met Esbjörn Svensson. Lars Danielsson (born 5 September 1958) is a Swedish jazz bassist, composer, and record producer. Biography Danielsson was born in Smålandsstenar, and was educated at the Conservatory of music, music conservatory in Gothenburg. He plays double bass, electric bass and cello. In 1985, he formed a quartet with saxophonist Dave Liebman, pianist Bobo Stenson and drummer Jon Christensen (musician), Jon Christensen that sometimes used Danielsson's name, producing several albums. He also worked with big bands. Lars Jansson (born 1951) is a Swedish jazz pianist and composer. Life Jansson grew up in Örebro, Sweden, where he was bored by his lessons at the community music school. In his early teens, a relative lent him records of Miles Davis, Ben Webster, and Mose Allison. During the 1960s, he followed the fashion and developed an interest in the organ. He listened to Kjell Öhman play with the Telstars, to Jimmy Smith and Jack McDuff, and to Hammond organ music. Drummer Sjunne Ferger became an important figure in his life, and together they formed a duo: "Takt & Ton" (Beat & Pitch). In 1970, after graduation from upper secondary school, he took a semester off, planning to go on and study medicine. He ended up at dental school, but after a year and a half he decided to switch to music. Alf Hambe
Alf Gunnar Hambe (24 January 1931 – 6 May 2022) was a Swedish author, composer, and singer-songwriter, who was influential in the genre of Swedish ballads (''visor''). Hambe was born in Rävinge near Halmstad in Halland, on the west coast of Sweden. His father, Johan Hambe, was a teacher and headmaster at the local school, and he also played the violin and wrote poetry. Alf Hambe went to school in Halmstad. After his graduation (''studentexamen'') in 1951, he studied in Helsingborg to become a primary school teacher. He moved to Gothenburg in 1954, and had several temporary teaching jobs until the early 1960s, when he became a full-time author, composer and singer.
