Marshall is an unincorporated area, unincorporated community in Spokane County, Washington, Spokane County, Washington (state), Washington, United States. Named in 1880 for early settler William H. Marshall, Marshall has a post office with ZIP code 99020. Geography Marshall is south-southwest of downtown Spokane, Washington, Spokane. Marshall lies approximately halfway between Cheney, Washington, Cheney and Spokane on Cheney-Spokane Road. The surrounding area is mostly flat and rocky, as it is part of the Columbia Plateau, but the community itself is located in a half-mile wide valley carved by Marshall Creek. The creek flows north-northeast through the community to Latah Creek and provides the route for Cheney-Spokane Road between Marshall and Spokane. Multiple rail tracks pass through Marshall including Union Pacific Railroad, Union Pacific and the Lakeside Subdivision of the BNSF Railway.
