Mars Area School District is a public school district in Pennsylvania. The district encompasses approximately and serves the communities of Mars and Valencia Boroughs as well as Adams Township and Middlesex Township in Butler County. The earliest known school in the district was the Denny School, opened in 1796 in Middlesex Township. The current configuration of the district was formed in 1960 when the Mars and Valencia Boroughs combined with Adams and Middlesex Townships to form the Mars Area School District. Mars is a Borough (Pennsylvania), borough in southern Butler County, Pennsylvania, Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,458 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census. Parks decided to have a post office placed in his home, so he received help from his friend Samuel Marshall to help establish it. David Jeffrey Bednar (born October 10, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres. Amateur career Bednar attended Mars Area High School in Mars, Pennsylvania. Undrafted out of high school, Bednar attended Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he played college baseball for the Leopards. William Ross Bednar (born June 13, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization. He played college baseball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Amateur career Bednar attended Mars Area High School in Mars, Pennsylvania, where he played baseball under his father, Andy. He originally committed to play college baseball at Ohio State University, but later switched his commitment to Mississippi State University. As a sophomore in 2017, he spent a majority of the season catching, and pitched only around 15 innings.
