Marri Shashidhar Reddy
Marri Shashidhar Reddy (born 24 August 1949) is an Indian politician. He has been active both at the state level and national level politics in India. He was elected as an MLA four times from Sanathnagar (Assembly constituency). The first time he contested by-polls was in 1992 and he was elected again three times (1994, 2004, 2009) from the same constituency. In 2005, he became part of the high-powered National Disaster Management Authority, he has been responsible for formulating the Government of India guidelines that would ensure prompt and effective response to cyclones in any part of India. He was also the Convener of the National level Task Force on Naxal violence set up in 2004. on 19 November 2022 Marri Shashidhar Reddy was expelled from congress party for six years for anti-party activities. Cyclones
In meteorology, a cyclone () is a large air mass that rotates around a strong center of low atmospheric pressure, counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere as viewed from above (opposite to an anticyclone). The Godavari (IAST: ''Godāvarī'' od̪aːʋəɾiː is India's second longest river after the Ganga river and drains into the third largest basin in India, covering about 10% of India's total geographical area.
