Marquez Haynes
Keith MarQuez Haynes (born December 19, 1986) is an American-Georgian professional basketball player for Paris Basketball of the LNB Pro B. Haynes is a naturalized citizen of Georgia, and he played with the senior men's Georgian national team at EuroBasket 2011. College career A native of Irving, Texas, Haynes played college basketball at Boston College, with the Boston College Eagles (2005–2007), and at Texas–Arlington, with the Texas–Arlington Mavericks (2008–2010). Professional career After going undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft, Haynes decided to pursue a professional basketball career in Europe, signing with Élan Chalon of the French Pro A League. He later played with the Spanish ACB League club Gran Canaria (2011–12), the German League club Artland Dragons (2012–13), and then signed with the Italian League club Olimpia Milano. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. FIBA Europe Cup
The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The league was founded in 2015 as a replacement of the FIBA EuroChallenge. History On June 30, 2015, FIBA announced it would start a new league to compete with Euroleague Basketball's EuroCup. Georgia National Basketball Team
The Georgia men's national basketball team ( ka, საქართველოს ეროვნული საკალათბურთო ნაკრები) represents the country of Georgia in international basketball matches, and is controlled by the Georgian Basketball Federation. The Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year is a basketball award given to the Southland Conference's (SLC) most outstanding player. The award was first given following the conference's inaugural basketball season of 1963–64.
