Maroua Rahali is a Tunisian national champion boxer. She was born in Gaâfour, a town in north-west Tunisia. She is coached by Chergui Hamadi. She represented Tunisia in the 2012 Summer Olympics taking place in London in the flyweight division. Gaâfour ( ar, قعفور) is a town and commune in the Siliana Governorate, north-western Tunisia, located 120 kilometers southwest of Tunis. It is attached to Siliana. This was the nation's thirteenth appearance at the Olympics, having missed the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of its partial support for the United States boycott. The Tunisian Olympic Committee (french: Comité National Olympique Tunisien, ''CNOT'') sent the nation's largest delegation to the Games, surpassing the number of athletes sent to Beijing by almost two thirds. A total of 83 athletes, 63 men and 20 women, competed in 17 sports. Men's basketball, men's handball, and men's indoor volleyball were the only team-based sports in which Tunisia was represented at these Olympic Games. The women's competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 5 to 9 August at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. For the first time at an Olympic Games, the 10 men's boxing events were joined by three women's events: flyweight, middleweight, and lightweight. Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom (born 01 March 1983) is an Indian amateur boxer, politician, and former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. She is the only woman to win the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals. Nicknamed ''Magnificent Mary'', she is the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, competing in the flyweight (51 kg) category and winning a bronze medal. She had also been ranked as the world's No. 1 female light-flyweight by the International Boxing Association (amateur) (AIBA).
