Marlon Klein
Marlon Klein (born 13 December 1957 in Herford, Germany) is a musician and producer in the World Music and Fusion genres. He is a co-founder of the German group Dissidenten. Career Klein's musical career started with studies of classical percussion at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. In the late 1970s he was one of the founders of the Real Ax Band, part of the independent music distributorship Schneeball (record label), Schneeball. Real Ax Band's song "Samba Mortale" became a success in Europe and in Brazilian clubs. In 1982 Klein co-founded Dissidenten with Uve Müllrich and Friedo Josch Klein. Together with the American Saxplayer Charlie Mariano and the South Indian Karnataka College of Percussion they gained worldwide attention. Following this project Klein and Dissidenten focussed on North Africa, working in collaboration with Moroccan musician Lem Chaheb. Herford
Herford (; nds, Hiarwede) is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, located in the lowlands between the hill chains of the Wiehen Hills and the Teutoburg Forest. George Harrison
George Harrison (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Spooky Tooth
Spooky Tooth were an English rock band originally formed in Carlisle in 1967. Principally active between 1967 and 1974, the band re-formed several times in later years. History Prior to Spooky Tooth, four of the band's five founding members had performed in the band Art (formerly known as the V.I.P.'s). Following the dissolution of Art, the members of that band's final line-up (guitarist Luther Grosvenor, vocalist Mike Harrison, drummer Mike Kellie and bassist Greg Ridley) joined forces with American keyboardist/vocalist Gary Wright in October 1967 and formed Spooky Tooth. Wright was introduced to the members of Art by Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records. Maanikkam Yogeswaran is a Sri Lankan Tamil musician and exponent of Carnatic music. He was born 1959 in Meesalai, Sri Lanka, where he attended Jaffna Hindu College before moving to London. He is the frontman of the electronic music group Yello, which was co-founded (with ex-member Carlos Perón) by music producer Boris Blank.
