Marlon Favorite
Marlon Dominique Favorite (born June 22, 1986) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU). Favorite was also a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Hartford Colonials, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams, Washington Redskins, and the AFL's New Orleans VooDoo. Early years Favorite attended both Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, Louisiana and West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana, where he played football as a defensive tackle. In 2002, he had 105 tackles (35 for a loss) and 20 sacks. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. Marrero is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. Marrero is on the south side (referred to as the "West Bank") of the Mississippi River, within the New Orleans– Metairie–Kenner metropolitan statistical area. Archbishop Shaw High School is an Archdiocesan school administered under the Salesians of St. John Bosco. It is approved by the Louisiana State Department of Education and the Southern Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. Founded in 1962, it is located in Marrero, Louisiana, and is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans. History Archbishop John W.
