Markus Oestreich
Markus Oestreich (born 3 July 1963) is a German racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. He previously competed in the British Touring Car Championship, World Touring Car Championship and Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft. Racing career Oestreich began his career in 1985 in Formula Ford 2000 Germany, he finished 7th in the championship standings that year. Later he switched to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, he raced in the championship for several years, ending the 1988 season 4th in the championship standings. From 1985–1987 he raced in the German Formula 3 championship. In 1986 he switched to the European Touring Car Championship, he ended 5th in the championship standings that year. He stayed in the championship up until 1988. In 1987 he also raced in the World Touring Car Championship, finishing the season 13th in the standings. The 1994 FIA Touring Car World Cup was the second running of the FIA Touring Car World Cup. It was held on 16 October 1994 at Donington Park in the United Kingdom. The Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungsstraße ('Automobile traffic and training road'), known as AVUS, is a public road in Berlin, Germany. Opened in 1921, it was also used as a motor racing circuit until 1998. Today, the AVUS forms the northern part of the Bundesautobahn 115. Wunstorf Air Base is a German Air Force military airfield (air base), located south-southwest of Neustadt am Rübenberge and north-northwest of Wunstorf in Lower Saxony, Germany. The Circuit Zolder, also known as Circuit Terlamen, is an undulating motorsport race track in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. The BMW E24 is the first generation of BMW 6 Series range of grand tourer cars, which was produced from January 1976 to 1989 and replaced the BMW E9 coupé. The E24 was produced solely in a 2-door coupé body style.
