Mark Wylea Erwin
Mark Wylea Erwin (born 30 March,1944) is a former U.S. ambassador and the president of Erwin Capital, Inc., a family-owned investment company in Charlotte, North Carolina. Career In 1997, Bill Clinton appointed him to the board of directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. From 1999-2001 Erwin served as Ambassador to the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of the Seychelles and the Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros. Erwin's books include ''An Unlikely Journey - Make a Difference. Do Good. Have Fun,'' ''Life's Lessons: Lines of Wisdom from a Faithful Stream'', and ''The Practical Ambassador''. He also wrote a collection of "For the Journey" books, including ''Faith For the Journey'', ''Collected Wisdom For the Journey'', and ''Humor For the Journey''. Winthrop University
Winthrop University is a public university in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It was founded in 1886 by David Bancroft Johnson, who served as the superintendent of Columbia, South Carolina, schools. He received a grant from Robert Charles Winthrop, a Boston philanthropist and chair of the Peabody Education Board in Massachusetts, to establish the school. Since its inception, Winthrop has developed into a comprehensive university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees through five colleges and schools. Roy Cooper
Roy Asberry Cooper III (born June 13, 1957) is an American attorney and politician, serving as the 75th governor of North Carolina since 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 49th attorney general of North Carolina from 2001 to 2017. He also served in the North Carolina General Assembly in both the House of Representatives (1987–1991) and Senate (1991–2001). Cooper defeated Republican incumbent Pat McCrory for the governorship in a close race in the 2016 election. On December 5, McCrory conceded the election, making Cooper the first challenger to defeat a sitting governor in the state's history. Cooper took office on January 1, 2017.
