Mark Price (musician)
Mark Gerard Price (born 10 August 1959, Nelson, Lancashire) is an English drummer known for being a member of All About Eve and Del Amitri. Early life Mark Price grew up in Nelson, Lancashire and attended Walton High School, Burnley College of Art, and Manchester Polytechnic where he graduated in Graphic Design, moving to London in 1980. Career Nik Kershaw Price's joined Nik Kershaw's band in 1983, touring for the next four years, including at Live Aid in 1985. All About Eve Price was recruited to All About Eve in 1987, during the recording of their first album. He appeared in photographs on the album cover even though he did not play on all of the songs, which instead featured the Mission's Mick Brown. He remained with the band and featured on their next three albums until they split up in 1993. Nelson, Lancashire
Nelson is a town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the Borough of Pendle in Lancashire, England, with a population of 29,135 in 2011. It is 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Burnley and 2.5 miles southwest of Colne. It reached the top 20 in Finland and Iceland and peaked at number 31 on the UK Singles Chart. ''Fairy Light Nights'' is the collective term for a large number of acoustic gigs performed by All About Eve between January 2000 and February 2002. The name stems from the fact that fairy lights were hung from the music and microphone stands. Two live albums were released during this time, one as ''Fairy Light Nights'' in 2000 (sometimes referred to as ''Fairy Light Nights 1'') and ''Fairy Light Nights 2'' a year later. These recordings were also later released as a double album, ''Acoustic Nights'', in 2003. The album showcased a radically different sound from which Del Amitri fans had become used to. With five years having elapsed since ''Some Other Sucker's Parade'' (1997), ''Can You Do Me Good?'' featured a new approach: Music loop, drum loops, Sampling (music), samples and synthesisers were the band's new tools. Jason Toop Cooper (born 31 January 1967) is an English drummer best known for his work with The Cure. Life and work Born in London, England, Jason studied drums at London's Drumtech (where he is now a patron and visiting artist). He first came to public attention as drummer for the band My Life Story. Jason joined The Cure in 1995 following the 1993 departure of their previous drummer Boris Williams. So far, he has performed on the studio albums ''Wild Mood Swings'', ''Bloodflowers'', ''The Cure'' and '' 4:13 Dream''.
