Mark William Ellis (born June 6, 1977) is an American former professional baseball second baseman. He played the majority of his Major League Baseball (MLB) career for the Oakland Athletics, and also appeared for the Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals. Ellis posted a career .991 fielding percentage, the fifth-best all-time for a second baseman in MLB history at the time of his retirement. Early career Ellis was born in Rapid City, South Dakota. Ellis graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City in 1995. Also in Ellis' graduating class was WNBA star Becky Hammon. They were voted by their peers as male and female "Class Athletes" of the '95 graduating class. Mark Thomas Ellis (born 19 May 1962) is a former English cricketer. Ellis was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Castle Acre, Norfolk. Ellis made his debut for Norfolk in the 1987 Minor Counties Championship against Cumberland. Ellis played Minor counties cricket for Norfolk from 1987 to 1991, which included 19 Minor Counties Championship matches and 7 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches. Mark Edward Ellis (born 6 January 1962) is a former English professional footballer who played the majority of his league career for his hometown club Bradford City as a left winger. Career Mark first came to the attention of Bradford City while playing for the junior club Trinity Athletic in 1978 as an amateur, before he was taken as a non-contract player in 1980. He made his debut as a substitute on 11 April 1980 in a 3–3 draw with Wigan Athletic, before signing as a full-time professional the following month. The following season, he played 18 league games as Bradford won promotion from Division Four under the guidance of Roy McFarland. McFarland soon left and was replaced by Trevor Cherry, who gave Ellis more league games each season. He was a regular by the time City won the Division Three title in 1984–85 starting in all but two league games. Mark Ellis (born 26 August 1990) is an Irish hurler who plays as a centre-back for Duhallow Championship club Millstreet. He is a former member of the Cork senior hurling team. Playing career Millstreet Community School While attending Millstreet Community School Ellis was selected for the Cork vocational schools hurling team. On 16 February 2008, he was named as a substitute for the All-Ireland final against Galway but was introduced during the game which Cork won by 2-14 to 3-10 victory. Marc Christopher Gwynne Ellis (born 8 October 1971) is a New Zealand businessman, television presenter, and former rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. A graduate of the University of Otago, his primary business interest was in Charlie's, a juice company. During the 1995 Rugby World Cup he scored six tries in the game against Japan, which is the record for the most tries by an individual in a Rugby World Cup match. He is the current chair of the UN-created Advisory Panel on Matters Relating to Defence Counsel of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals. From 1989 to 2000, Ellis was executive director of the American Bar Association Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative. From 1999 to 2000, Ellis acted as Legal Advisor to the Independent International Commission on Kosovo, chaired by Justice Richard J.
