Marios Iliopoulos (born 16 December 1969 in Sydney, Australia) is a Greek guitarist and founder of the melodic death metal band Nightrage, and a former member of Exhumation. After recording three albums with Exhumation (all of them produced in Sweden), Marios formed Nightrage along with fellow Greek guitar hero Gus G. Many prominent figures of metal such as Tomas Lindberg Tomas Lindberg (born 16 October 1972), also known as "Tompa" and "Goatspell", is a Swedish vocalist who has fronted many death metal bands, most notably At the Gates. Universum (band)
Universum are a heavy metal band from Adelaide, South Australia. The band completed formation in early 2007 and describe their sound a fusion of Scandinavian melodic death metal, new wave American metal, old school thrash metal and progressive metal. Universum have released two albums to date, the debut album '' Leto Destinatus'' on 15 June 2008 and their second album '' Mortuus Machina'' on 1 January 2011. Band history Formed in early 2006, their sound was influenced by such bands as Pantera, Death, and Iron Maiden. In 2007, Universum completed an eponymous demo. Soon Liam Brophy and Rachael Madden were added to the line up. The album was recorded by Terry Nikas at Zero Gravity studios in Athens, Greece, and mixed and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Maskinrummet studio in Uppsala, Sweden. ''The Venomous'' was also released in Japan by record label Avalon/Marquee. The Bonus Track for Japanese release is an alternative version of the instrumental song "Denial of the Soul". Insidious is the fifth album by the melodic death metal band Nightrage. The album was released on 26 September in Europe and a day later in North America (27 September) through German label, Lifeforce Records. The Japanese version of the album includes a cover of Def Leppard's " Photograph". The song ''Wrapped In Deceitful Dreams'' references in the lyrics "Seas Of Eternal Silence" which may refer to the Sweet Vengeance song ''At The Ends Of The Earth'' or the 1997 Exhumation (Marios Iliopoulos' former band) album by the same name. ''Insidious'' is the first Nightrage album in the band's history to feature the same line up as the previous album. Vengeance Descending (Nightrage Album)
''Vengeance Descending'' is a double CD reissue by the Greek/Swedish melodic death metal band, Nightrage. It was released by Century Media Records on 19 November 2010. The Sweet Vengeance disc features the bonus track "Gloomy Daydreams" which is a demo version from either their first or second demo which was only for Japanese releases. The Descent into Chaos disc features the song "Black Skies" which was also the Japanese bonus track for that album. This disc also comes with the previously unreleased track "Gallant Deeds" which was sung entirely by Mikael Stanne. The album includes detailed liner notes by Tomas Lindberg, Marios Iliopoulos, Fredrik Nordström, Gus G., and Antony Hämäläinen.
