Mario Tuane
Mario Jorge Tuane Escaff (27 July 1927 – 13 August 2017), sometimes referred as Mario Tuani, was a Chilean football player and manager. Career As a football player, Tuane played for Green Cross for a season. He came to South Africa after having coached Doxa Drama in Greece, where he arrived from Chile following the World War II. He mainly worked in South Africa for some 30 years, being considered a legendary coach since he held the distinction of coaching Kaizer Chiefs‚ Mamelodi Sundowns‚ Moroka Swallows and Orlando Pirates. His record shows two league titles: First the 1979 National Professional Soccer League with Kaizer Chiefs and then the 1988 National Soccer League with Mamelodi Sundowns. In addition, he won the Mainstay Cup with Kaizer Chiefs in 1979 and Moroka Swallows in 1983. Deportes Magallanes is a Chilean Football team based in San Bernardo, Chile. They will play in the Primera División de Chile starting from 2023 after winning the 2022 Primera B championship. The club was founded on October 27, 1897 with the name Atlético Escuela Normal F.C.. In 1933 they became the first national champions of Chile. John Nketia Yawson is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is known for his involvement in the squad that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations and becoming the first African Player to play in the Copa Libertadores. Club career He played for Sekondi Eleven Wise in 1977 and 1978 before playing moving to Accra Hearts of Oak for the 1978/79 season. In 1981 he moved to the uruguayan Liga Profesional de Primera División team Club Atlético Peñarol in which his first season led to him becoming the first African player in the Copa Libertadores. The Nedbank Cup is the current name of South Africa's Premier Soccer League, premier club association football, soccer knockout tournament. While many formats have been used over the years, the tournament has always been based on the idea of giving lower league and amateur teams a chance to compete with clubs from the top league for the cup. The National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) was a South African association football league that existed between 1971 and 1995.
