Mario Opazo
Mario Opazo (born 1969) is a Colombian video, installation and performance artist. He was born in Tomé, Chile and became a political exile after Pinochet came to power. He studied at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University of Fine Arts. Mario Opazo's artistic work reflects upon the moving image, and on art as it relates to contemporary problems across various artistic practices, such as installation, performance, video art, and film. He is a professor at the National University of Colombia. Opazo was one of a number of artists exhibiting within the Istituto Italo-Latino Americano display in Palazzo Zenobio during the 2007 Venice Biennale. Tomé
Tomé () is a port city and commune in the Biobío Region of Chile. It is bordered by Coelemu to the north, Ránquil and Florida to the east, Penco to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The local economy is based mainly on textile manufacturing and fishing industry. Palazzo Zenobio
The Ca' Zenobio degli Armeni (Palazzo Zenobio, Ca' Zenobio) is a Baroque-style palace structure in the sestiere of Dorsoduro, in Venice, Italy. The nearby bridge Ponte del Soccorso connects it to the Palazzo Ariani. History The palace initially was constructed in 1690 by the Zenobio family, who retained possession til the 19th century. The design was by the architect Gaspari, pupil of Baldassare Longhena. In 1850 it became the home of the College of the Armenian (Armeni) monks of the Mekhitarist order who had a monastery in the island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni near Venice. The Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC) or Ibero-American Museum of Contemporary Art is a contemporary art museum located in the city of Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain.
